2012 Scholarships and Awards

2011 is coming to a close and that means that FFA awards season is upon us.  The two awards that members should currently be working on are their Proficiencies and Scholarships.  Proficiencies are awards that are related to their SAE project areas.  Members should use their record books to complete the applications.  This year's applications have gone live and are very similar to last year's.  This means you can easily copy and paste the info from last year's app into this year's app or in some cases just update last year's app.  If you can't find your app from last year, talk to Mr. Ovrebo or Mr. Larson and we will see what we have in our files.  The apps can be found in a number of places:

#1: Find the apps on the National FFA Website.
#2: The apps can be found in the "FFA" folder under "Member Apps" on the student server at school.
#3: The documents can be found in the "FFA Docs" tab on Mr. Ovrebo's school website.

All of the proficiency apps are excel documents and the handbooks are pdf's.  They are not the easiest thing to complete so be sure the ask many questions and use Mr. Larson and Mr. Ovrebo as resources.

The 2012 National FFA Scholarship Application has gone live and can be found at the National FFA Scholarship.  Be sure to start filling it out ASAP.  The app is for graduating seniors and college freshman.

Join "Duckwatch 2011" with the Introduction to Veterinary Science class by clicking on the "Videos" tab on Mr. Ovrebo's high school website.
