February Activities

February promises to be another busy month for Medford FFA members!

All State Degree and Proficiency apps are due Tuesday, 2/5 so we can print and get signatures before we turn them in on Wednesday, 2/6.  Interviews for state degrees, region stars, proficiencies, and region officers will be on Thursday, 2/14.

Our February FFA meeting will be on the morning of Monday, 2/11.  It is a week earlier than usual because we don't have school on the next Monday (2/18).

FFA week will be from 2/19-2/22 with the highlight for the week being FFA Day at the Capitol on Thursday 2/21.  We will be traveling with Owatonna and Blooming Prairie to visit our local senators and representatives in St. Paul.  This year will be exciting because we will have the opportunity to meet our new Senator Jensen and Representative Petersburg.  We will also be meeting with Representative Patti Fritz, who has been and continues to be a good advocate for Ag Education.

Our next round of contests will be on March 7th at SCC in Mankato.  Contests that day will include Crops, Ag Mechanics, and Farm Business Management.  Practices are typically on Thursday and Friday mornings with practices posted on Monday morning on posters in the school.
